NURSING FUNDAMENTALS

 

Prerequisite:  HS I & II

 

     This course is designed for students who are interested in medical careers where personal care basic nursing care skills are used.  This course is an enhanced adaptation of the NC Division of Health Service Regulation Nurse Aide I curriculum.  Students who successfully complete the course will be prepared to take the State Assessment competency exam.  A clinical internship in a long term care facility is required (40 hrs minimum).  Hands on care on patients will be done.
